Description

Students will gain the basic knowledge and ability to expand upon their skills. We want to provide students with a strong base in Java so that writing robot code becomes significantly easier. Coding should be intuitive- not just memorizing and piecing together examples. We will teach:

  • Basic Java setup
  • Variables
  • Syntax
  • Conditionals
  • Loops
  • Functions (maybe recursion)
  • Classes
  • Inheritance and Polymorphism
  • Program Organization
  • Where to get help- how to gain knowledge and solve problems by myself
  • How to read other people’s code

If able please send a laptop/notebook that runs Windows, OS X, or Linux with your camper.  We have computers if you do not have your own.

This camp will only be $5.

We are requiring in person payments with cash or check, due to low cost for the camp.
