This course will empower students to critically discuss their own writing and the writing of others through peer review, analysis of published works, and in-class writing assignments. Students will prepare their own short stories outside of class to be brought in for peer review by their classmates. By the end of the 8-week course, students will be able to intelligently discuss and promote elements of storytelling within their own work such as plot, character, and style, as well as how they interact. Students should have access to a computer to type and print their stories as well as the receive materials.
