Give & Get Involved!
There are a variety of ways to give and get involved with The Kaleidoscope Discovery Center. We are a non-profit organization that survives by the dedication of volunteers, community participation and donations. The KDC is a community organization and we only survive if members of the community, like you, say “Yes, this is something I want in my community” and you are willing to donate your time or money to the cause. Every little bit helps! We accept donations through PayPal, GoFundMe, Amazon Smile and we offer man volunteer opportunities.
The Kaleidoscope Discovery Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. This means we need your support! Whether you can contribute volunteer hours or monetary donations, you make it possible for us to continue offering STEM education to our service region!
We just added this giving option. Fees are slightly lower than PayPal (on our end) and it gives our generous donors another payment option.
No volunteer effort is too small. From helping with building maintenance to teaching a class or program, without these volunteers, the Kaleidoscope Discovery Center would not be where it is now. If you are interested in volunteering with us, please complete the appropriate volunteer form or email us.
AmeriCorps Vista Summer Associates at the KDC!
Kaleidoscope Discovery Center is hiring for 2 positions, July-Aug 2017
Kaleidoscope Discovery Center (KDC) is moving into another year with their VISTA program. KDC needs to fill 2 full-time positions for the workers who are finishing their year in the program. KDC has funding from VISTA, which is part of AmeriCorps, for a program/office manager and a web designer/marketing position. Some related experience is desired, but not required. VISTA has poverty-related components; selected applicant(s) will need to participate in activities and document their poverty-related experiences at several times throughout the year. Working in this position will develop practical working skills, so is a good match for someone at the beginning of their career, or for someone preparing to re-enter the workforce after a break in employment.
Kaleidoscope develops programs in STEM areas. More general info below.
Contact Kaleidoscope at 573-308-9082 to inquire about these opportunities. Selection will be completed before the 2017-18 school year begins.

AmeriCorps VISTA is a national service program designed to alleviate poverty. President John F. Kennedy originated the idea for VISTA, which was founded as Volunteers in Service to America in 1965, and incorporated into the AmeriCorps network of programs in 1993.
KDC is always looking for people to become involved and has numerous volunteer opportunities. If you are interested in getting involved, please email us at email@example.com or give us a call at 573-308-9082.
VISTA volunteer service is also a great item to put on your resume, showing that you have had experience serving your community, experiencing poverty first-hand, and taken the initiative to fight against poverty.
