Field Trips at the KDC!

Based on the ESTEAM concepts, the Kaleidoscope Discovery Center aims to inspire our regional youth to imagine endless possibilities and explore countless new opportunities!  Our programs are easily customized to specific topics that our area educators want to expand learning options for students ages 4-12, grades preschool and kindergarten through 8th grade.

The Kaleidoscope offers over a dozen education workshops, including:

We come to you! Our center educators bring exciting, hands-on workshops right to your classroom!  Choose any of our school programs for a great in-class experience.  We provide all the materials and the fun!

Interested in a particular topic? The Kaleidoscope Discovery Center staff will be happy to create a program around your needs!

Cost vary.  

Programming for 4-H, Boys Scots, Girls Scouts, Cub Scouts, Venturers, and Explorers are also available.

Payment

Payment is due the day of your visit.  We accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, purchase orders and checks.

Scheduling

Field trips are scheduled during our normal center hours.

Cancellations

Please give at least one week notice for any cancellation.

Length of Visit

Field trips generally include 2 hours of guided play, covering four themes. An optional half-hour lunch is available.  Additional scheduling is usually required for large groups or those purchasing specific one hour workshops.

Trip Confirmation

Before your visit, you will receive an email confirmation with program times, discovery center rules, and other information to help you prepare for your time with us!

Adult Chaperones

We recommend one adult for every five preschoolers or ten school-age children.  Our group rate applies for all chaperones unless otherwise specified.
