Please consider supporting the Kaleidoscope Discovery Center this #GivingTuesday on November 27th.  Seven years ago the Belfer Center for Innovation & Social Impact came up with an idea to help offset the post-Thanksgiving purchasing season!  Black Friday was started in the 1950s, then Cyber Monday in 2005 followed in 2010 by Small Business Saturday.  In 2012, #GivingTuesday was created to raise the visibility of the nation’s non-profits that serve their communities in so many ways!

This year the Kaleidoscope Discovery Center was able to reach out to 1787 K-12 students with ESTEAM programing during the summer!  With the help of the AmeriCorp programs in Waynesville and Mission: St. Louis, these students were introduced to new opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math all encircled by art and the environment.

We are already planning for summer 2019 and we are asking for the region’s support.  Although our overall expenses for the summer outreach program top $10K, the staff and volunteers of the Kaleidoscope Discovery Center would be grateful to reach a quarter of this goal through #Giving Tuesday.
