This Saturday, October 13 from 9:00am to 4:00pm is The Kaleidoscope Discovery Center’s 2nd Annual Tinkerfest! Pine Street will be closed Saturday for the 40th Anniversary Arts & Crafts Festival. So KDC is taking over the block between 6th Street and 7th Street. We will have activities throughout the street to explore and tinker!
There will be hands-on activities for all ages at this wonderful event to play and learn! We will have an autumn sensory bin, Duplo table, and Code-a-Pillar robot for our youngest explorers. The Missouri S&T Rocket team will show you some of their rockets and then help you build and shoot off a paper rocket.
You can paint with a pendulum, create a boat out of recycled materials, do paper circuits with students from IEEE, and create a catapult to see how far you can make a marshmallow pumpkin go! There will also be a fire truck, yarn jump rope maker, giant chess set, and large robot demonstration.
We will also be raffling off a Code-a-Pillar and Iron Man Ozobot. Tickets are 1 for $1 or 6 for $5.
Inside the building our First Lego League teams will be having a competition scrimmage using their EV3 Lego MindstormTinkerfest It’sRaffleTime Robots.
Come see us and make some lasting memories!
