Brandy Howdeshell has a background in education. She worked previously as a science and gifted school age teacher for 3 years. We are happy to have her this summer as a VSA. During her short time at Kaleidoscope Discovery Center she has helped to build up our lesson planning and strengthened our Summer Outreach Initiative. With her help, we are well on our way to meeting our goal of reaching 1,500 students and teachers, giving them a glimpse into what we are all about at KDC.
In her spare time, Brandy enjoys spending time with her children, Scarlett,6, and Gus, 4. She also likes to exercise her artistic talents through sewing, woodworking, and drawing. Recently, Brandy has accepted a full-time, 1-year, AmeriCorp VISTA position with KDC, starting in the Fall, after her VSA position expires.
She is passionate about our cause, and shares our vision. Brandy believes that KDC has potential, and we are excited to bring her onboard for the coming school year.
